Veit Hammerstingl
Veit is the Product Owner of the BMW IoT Platform, where he is responsible for the development of scalable shopfloor connectivity solutions. With his team he created the BMW Edge Platform, providing targeted software modules for the heterogeneous challenges in manufacturing. While this is currently rolled out globally, he also contributes to the IoT/Edge connectivity working group in the Open Manufacturing Platform (OMP).
Prior to that, Veit worked as a Solution Architect and shopfloor IT Specialist for several years. He holds a Ph.D. with honors from the Technical University of Munich (TUM). There he researched in the fields of digital manufacturing and communication systems.
In his spare time, he co-founded PLYCE, a company dedicated to enhancing agility in project management by applying start-up concepts to enterprise companies.
