Stephen Bailey

Stephen Bailey began his career at DEC building computers, storage and networking from the gates up. He had his first taste of neural computation with the Yale-school AI mob at the University of Chicago. However, it wasn’t deep learning, so he veered away to storage, mobile and the cloud, culminating in more than 10 years at Broadcom. In 2017 he founded Syntiant to bring always-on AI to battery-powered edge devices. He has a BS EE from Carnegie Mellon and a PhD CS from the University of Chicago.
