Scott Komar

Scott Komar currently serves as Senior Vice President of Global R&D for Driscoll’s, the world’s leading fresh berry company. As a member of the Global Leadership Team, Mr. Komar leads the Global R&D group which includes agronomists, breeders, and plant scientists who only use natural breeding techniques to develop proprietary berry varieties that are then grown on independent family farms. Plant genetics have always been the foundation of Driscoll’s
heritage and is core to the flavor differentiation of Only the Finest Berries™.

Scott has been with Driscoll’s for ten years and was previously Group Vice President of Supply Chain for Driscoll’s of the Americas. Prior to Driscoll’s, spanning over 15 years in the packaged salad industry, Scott was Senior Vice President of Operations and Strategic Planning at Fresh Express, and then transitioned to senior management at organicgirl. Scott is a graduate of UCLA, with a Bachelor of Science with honors in Math-Systems Science, and Stanford University, with a Master of Science in Engineering-Economic Systems. He resides in Carmel Valley, CA with his wife, Chris, and their fourchildren.
