Nina Hughes

Nina Hughes is CEO and Portfolio Manager of Axiomada, a low net, long/short hedge fund investing across global technology sectors. Ms. Hughes has 20+ years of investment management experience and is an engineer. Prior to Axiomada, Ms. Hughes co-managed a $600M long/short technology hedge funds at SAC/Point72 Asset Management. Between 2002 – 2004, Ms. Hughes co-managed the AXP Global Technology ($180 AUM) mutual fund at Amex/Riversource. While at Amex/Riversource, Ms. Hughes also founded and managed the Boston Technology Opportunities Hedge Fund (~$50AUM). In 2007, Ms. Hughes founded LightKeeper Investments, a long/short hedge fund (~$50M). Ms. Hughes holds a Bachelor of
Science in electrical engineering from the University of Vermont, a Master’s in biomedical engineering from Boston University and an MBA from the Olin School of Management at Babson College. Prior to obtaining her MBA, Ms. Hughes worked in the field for several years testing military-grade GPS and satellite communication systems and designing medical software.
