Jean Marc Frangos

Jean Marc Frangos is a Silicon Valley Innovation thought leader and startup NED/advisor. As SVP, External Innovation at BT, Jean-Marc has been responsible for managing the innovation programmes to prepare BT’s future portfolio aimed at the Consumer and Business markets, including areas such as 5G and Edge Computing, Virtual
Reality, IoT and Cloud Technologies. He has also been responsible for innovation partnerships with venture capitalists, start-ups and industry peers in the United States, Asia, and Europe.
Based in Silicon Valley, Jean-Marc has created and ran BT’s open innovation function, corporate venture capital fund, new idea management process, and corporate incubator. He advises dozens of startups and entrepreneurs to help them optimise their distribution through global operators.
Cases describing Jean-Marc’s global open innovation methodology have been published by London Business School, INSEAD and Harvard Business School and taught in business schools around the world. Jean-Marc has been a guest lecturer on corporate innovation at London Business School, Wharton School, INSEAD, Stanford MediaX, Tsinghua, Hitotsubashi and Keio Universities.
