David Shacochis
David Shacochis is Vice President and Field CTO for Enterprise Technology at Lumen. He works with business leaders across Lumen’s multi-billion-dollar enterprise division on integrated edge use cases that generate business value from digital interactions across various asset-intensive industry verticals. These efforts leverage all of Lumen’s assets across adaptive networking, connected security and IT services. As a senior leader within Lumen’s product management organization, he is responsible for sales growth, user experience, strategic alliances and roadmap development.
David has been a leader in technology services for over twenty years, sharing his experiences in many of the major divisions of a technology organization including global operations, customer service, software integration, technical marketing, product management, corporate development and systems integration. Over the past fifteen years, Mr. Shacochis has been focused on the product lifecycle at Lumen since taking responsibility for managed hosting services and supporting its transition to the Edge Cloud portfolio that puts mission-critical workloads within milliseconds of digital business interactions worldwide.
A former engineering professor at George Mason University, his professional experience with firms at the heart of the cloud computing revolution – such as UUNET, Exodus Communications, Digital Island, Cable & Wireless, Fusepoint, Qwest, Savvis, and Tier 3 – has built a wealth of IT infrastructure experience with a variety of clients across diverse industries in both the public and private sector.
