Carmela Stuart

Carmela Stuart is a Director in the Future Infrastructure Group at CableLabs, a non-profit Innovation and R&D lab funded by its membership of cable industry member companies located in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Central America, South America, the Caribbean, Europe, Asia, and Australia.  She has over 17 years of experience in the cable industry, encompassing network security, software engineering, and most recently, edge computing.  Her objective in this role is to make recommendations on how edge compute technology can be applied to the cable access network to support high bandwidth, low latency applications.

Carmela holds a ME degree in Computer Science with a focus on Data Science and Engineering from the University of Colorado at Boulder and a MS degree in Computer Science from Johns Hopkins University.
