Shaping the Future of the Edge: Our Edge Woman of the Year Judging Panel Pt4

In this, our fourth and final installment of Edge Woman of the Year Judges Panel profiles, we’re highlighting our final judge and the 2019 Edge Woman of the Year, Farah Papaioannou. 

The State of the Edge and Edge Computing World were honored to award Farah the first ever Edge Woman of the Year for her work as a leader in the industry promoting open source and edge/iot software development.

Farah Papaioannou is the President and Co-Founder of Edgeworx, an Edge computing company pioneering open-source universal edge compute platform with Eclipse ioFog. She has over 15 years of experience in the Enterprise software market, both as an investor and an operator. Her career has spanned both strategic operational roles in G100 businesses and early stage investing in Silicon Valley and DC venture capital firms. Papaioannou was recognized as 2019 Edge Woman of the Year for her outstanding impact on the edge computing industry and her multidimensional leadership in the technology industry including venture capital, edge cloud computing, and open source projects. Farah holds three degrees from Stanford University. She graduated with a Bachelors of Science with Honors in Computer Science, a Masters in Communications and Masters in Management Science and Engineering. Farah and her husband, Todd, have 3 kids including a newborn. She loves skiing, traveling, and getting a (rare) full night of sleep!
